Sattar&Co. advised a client on the matter of transmission of the client’s late father’s shares in a banking company and the subsequent sale/transfer of such shares. As part of our task, the team had to peruse the banking company’s charter documents and research the laws relating to the transmission of shares of a banking company, including, inter alia, the Companies Act 1994, the Banking Companies Act 1994 and various other related rules, regulations and policies of Bangladesh pertaining to the sale of shares of public listed companies.
