Muhaimin Ahmed Chowdhury is an Associate in the Corporate department of Sattar&Co. Prior to joining Sattar&Co., Muhaimin worked in a leading law firm in Bangladesh. As part of the team, he assists in advising local and international clients on employment matters, including, inter alia, employment contracts, matters arising out of closure of establishment, appointment/termination of employee and employment restructuring.
While working at Sattar&Co., Muhaimin has gained notable experience in drafting and reviewing various types of legal documents concerning employment laws, including, inter alia, employment agreements, appointment letters, mutual release agreements and employee handbooks in line with Bangladeshi laws.
As part of the team, Muhaimin was involved in dealing with several significant matters, which include, inter alia, working with an international mobile service company (having its liaison office in Bangladesh) in relation to transition of employees from contracting agencies to the office itself, review of employment handbooks in line with the employment laws in Bangladesh; advising an international company on matters relating to separation of its employees and assisting with their termination; and review of standard employment agreements (including clauses relating to non-compete etc.); a private educational institution on matters relating to separation of employees through termination simpliciter, dismissal etc.
